Then, it was time to mingle and nosh over the lovely assortment of delicacies, treats and beverages provided by the Carmel Teacher Association, with additional contributions by the teachers themselves. A thoughtful gift was available for each parent as they left in time for the cafeteria to be set for the students’ lunch.
Perhaps the best part of such a gathering was the chance to chat informally with teachers and other volunteers without having to rush off to attend to this or that task. The chance to pat each other on the back for a job well done, review projects and ideas and discuss plans for next year instilled in all who attended the sense of teamwork that is so important to successful future events and programs.
Everyone likes to feel appreciated, and thanks to the teachers and staff of KPS, volunteers know that what they do makes a real difference in the daily lives of our children. |
