First graders will be introduced to the basic elements of music through singing games, dances, and rhythm instruments and will learn how to be the best singers that they can be!

Second graders will continue with their vocal development and study of the instruments, musical form, playing rhythm instruments, dancing, and music singing games.

Third graders will continue their very exciting journey of learning about music by playing the soprano recorder while mastering their music reading skills.  A letter will go home in September explaining the program which will culminate in a recorder and choral concert in May.

Fourth graders will continue their study of the recorder, music notation skills, and the instrument families. They will also participate in fourth grade chorus once a week to prepare for our choral concert in June! These students will also learn about the instruments of the band and orchestra so that they can make an informed decision about which instrument they would like to play in
fifth grade.
