G.F.M.S.  PTA
The George Fischer Middle School Parent Teacher Association is a not-for-profit organization whose sole purpose is in common with those of the National PTA and the New York State PTA.  The GFMS PTA promotes the welfare of all GFMS children at home, school and the community.  The GFMS PTA tries to bridge a closer relationship with home and school so that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of the students at GFMS.

SPIRIT WEAR
The Spirit and Pride Company provides a service of reasonably priced t-shirts, sweatshirts and drawstring backpacks.  We will have order forms at PTA table at both Curriculum Nights. The order deadline is Friday, 10/2 for forms only.  Order online anytime at www.spiritandpride.com  Use the school ID 166454.  Merchandise is delivered right to the student's homeroom.

BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION
Send in the coupon on the top of many products to the main office in an envelope with your child's name and homeroom teacher.  The top three collectors for the year win a gift card.  Deadline for submissions are October & February.
 

 

 

 

 

Membership Drive - Join today, we need you! Download form here.
Join the PTA just $10 supports our children and any activities at GFMS.  Membership entitles you to vote on issues that impact our students such as our yearly budget, special financial requests and programs we fund.  One-third of membership fee goes to the NYS and National PTAs.  The balance stays here at GFMS.  Print out the membership form and send it in to the PTA today.

QSP FUNDRAISER
Our major Fall Fundraiser, whose profit funds the majority of our programs throughout the school year, is a magazine drive.  Donate your time by helping process orders and/or distributing prizes.  Remember 8th graders who participate get to apply their profit to their Washington DC trip.  The sale starts: Thursday, 10/1.  Postcard turn in during lunch periods is Friday, 10/2.  Order turn in dates are Tuesday, 10/6, Thursday, 10/8 and Wednesday, 10/14.  Prize dates are Wednesday, 10/7, Friday, 10/9 and Thursday 10/15.
