| Charge Policy |
Individual student food service accounts will be monitored closely when students purchase meals. In an effort to keep the number of student-charged meals to a minimum, the following policy was implemented by the Board of Education in June 2005: Carmel High School Students will NOT be allowed to charge meals. Students who cannot purchase a meal will be given a basic nutritional meal based on New York State guidelines. The cost of this meal will be deducted from their account. This practice will continue until a positive balance is maintained in the account. George Fischer Middle School and Elementary Buildings Students will be allowed to charge three (3) meals. After the third charge, the student will be given a basic nutritional meal based on New York State guidelines. The cost of this meal will be deducted from their account. This practice will continue until charges are paid and a positive balance is maintained in the account. Students are not permitted to charge a la carte purchases. |
