Every year, all employees must receive training in “Right to Know”. Please read this page and then click on the “Complete the training” and answer the questions. · “Right to Know” provides you with important Health and Safety information that you might need. · You have a right to know what chemicals or materials are being used in your school building. · All chemical and materials supplied by the school have “Material Safety Data Sheets” (MSDS). These are kept in a binder in the Main Office of each school. · If you ever suspect that you are having a health related reaction to a chemical or material supplied by the school, you have a right to request a copy of the MSDA for that chemical or material. · With the help of the MSDS, your physician can help you determine if the chemical or material in question could be related to your symptoms. · If your school provides a supply or chemical without having the MSDS on file, the District has three (3) business days to obtain the MSDS. · If the District does not provide the MSDS within 3 days, you are entitled to stay home with pay until the MSDS is provided to you. · If you have any questions about “Right to Know”, contact the Director of Facilities at the District Office, extension 250. |
