A Word from the Superintendent

Dear Friends of the Carmel Central School District:

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the 2009-2010 school year.

As we watch our students grow academically, socially and emotionally, it is our shared commitment to ensure that our students have the necessary tools for learning, as well as the opportunity to experience a high quality, comprehensive program of study. By working together, we look to provide a supportive learning environment in which our students strive to reach their highest potential.

The Carmel School District pledges to continue to warmly welcome parents and community members who work in strong collaboration with us to promote student success. To that end, the District pursues open lines of communication through televised Board of Education meetings, District newsletters, an active website and the school-year calendar.

This calendar contains information about the District, each of the school buildings and their programs, important events and contact information for school personnel. Since the times and dates of school events are sometimes changed it is wise to call for verification.
